Gilani says US can’t fight war-on-terror without Pak’s help
Multan, Oct 2 : Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the US could not even think about fighting the war against terrorism without his country’s support.
Addressing a press conference in Multan, he pointed out that Pakistan had a very important strategical location in the region, when it came to fighting against terrorism.
Pakistan had been a key anti-terror ally of the US in its war of terror, and the latter has been providing huge funds to it to seriously fight against extremism, particularly within its territories.
On the occasion, Gilani also announced that he and President Asif Ali Zardari would leave for China soon where two sides will discuss ways and means to enhance defence cooperation.
About US-India civil nuclear pace, he said there was nothing to be worried about, but added it is now “our right to do agreements with other countries regarding nuclear technology”. (ANI)
