Helsinki - The gunman in a trade school shooting spree in western Finland is dead, the Finnish newspaper Ilkka reported Tuesday, citing police sources.

The paper also cited local hospital sources in the town of Kauhajoki, some 150 kilometres north-west of the capital Helsinki as saying that more than 10 casualties from the shooting had been received. The paper said there may be several dead among them.
