US also to probe Aug 26 attack on diplomat in PakPeshawar, Sept 6: On the sidelines of Pakistan Police’s investigation into the murderous attack on one of its diplomats in Peshawar on August 26, a team of US officials will also separately hold a probe into the incident.

The botched attack on Principal Officer of the American Consulate in Peshawar, Lynne Tracy occurred outside her residence in the University Town on Rahman Baba Road in the posh University Town locality.

“A team of US investigators is to probe the August 26 attack on Lynne Tracy on Rahman Baba Road in the posh University Town locality,” The News quoted sources as saying.

Tracy, along with her driver and a CID police commando, escaped unhurt when unidentified attackers fired five shots at the bulletproof car, hitting the bonnet, bumper and headlights of the diplomat's vehicle. (ANI)
