Pak PM Gilani survives assassination attempt
Islamabad, Sept. 3 : Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s convoy was attacked in Rawalpindi on Wednesday afternoon.
The News quoted the Prime Minister’s House as saying that two bullets were fired at Gilani’s vehicle, but he escaped the assassination attempt.
Gilani was returning to Islamabad from Lahore and his motorcade was attacked near the airport.
Talking to Geo News after the incident, Federal Information Minister Sherry Rehman said that prime minister was safe and in his official residence. (ANI)
