‘C-Kkompany’ Review

‘C-Kkompany’ ReviewThe wait for not much awaited movie ‘C-Kkompany’ is finally over, and after the review of the movie, it seems that the movie is not that worth watching for.

The director Sachin Yardi, who also wrote ‘Ky Kool Hain Hum’ could have done better than this. Apparently, ‘Kya Kool HAi Hu’ was also produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji. Though C-Kkompany is not as bad as KKHH, but still it is not even less than it.

The movie is about three friends, who are all losers trying to be rulers. Despite thir age gap, Akshay (Tusshar), Joshi (Anupam Kher) and Lamodar (Rajpal Yadav) live in the same building and are friends. All three want to earn money for different reasons. One- to marry his girl friend, second- to escape the ill-treatment of his son and third- to quit his insulting job.

In the process they make a plan by making a fake call to Joshi’s son claiming to be a gang and extract money from him. They name themselves as ‘C-Kkompany, and co-incidentally, a fake video makes to the news channel where Aksahy works. Thus this gang of no-where comes in the major headlines. The cops, as well as TV-soap addict Don Dattubhai (Mithun Chakraborty) put in all their efforts to find this mysterious new gang.

The three later realize that they can actually save a chawl from being broken by greedy builders, since their one phone call can scare them off, they try and utilize their power in good direction. C Kompany takes over the job of the authorities such as getting a widow her dues or shutting down an illegal pub.

‘C-Kkomapny’ could have done better if in case the director had used it as a tool to cut a satire on the media’s sensalization of gangsters and the public's fascination for dons. But it seems that here too Balaji had tried to lead the importance with Ekta Kapoor making an appearance as herself in the movie.

The climax of the movie is really loose with songs also being forced in. Performance wise, all the actors are fine expect for Mithun Chakarabotty, who seem to be crazed out. The movie which could have been better if Yardi had implied some fresh ideas does not seem to last for long in cinema halls.
