Mumbai Cops To Watch Special Screening Of A Wednesday
The makers of A Wednesday have decided to go for a special screening of their film for the Mumbai cops on September 1.
The latest flick from the UTV Motion Pictures is based on the 2006 Mumbai serial train bombings. The movie showcases that how a police commissioner (Anupam Kher) grapples with the mind of a terrorist (Naseeruddin Shah). Aamir Bashir and Jimmy Shergill are also the part of this movie.
Speaking on this, director of the movie Neeraj Pandey said, “This is our way of saying thanks to the police force. The story of the film is inspired by the way the force handles tough situations. The film salutes them.''
Large parts of the film scenes were shot at Mumbai Police headquarters.
Among those who will attend the special screening are Joint commissioner of police (Crime), Rakesh Maria, additional director general of police (Training) Javed Ahmed and director general of police A N Roy. In fact it is believed that both A N Roy and Rakesh Maria had earlier given tips to Anupam Kher for this movie.
Earlier, the film was also screened for Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad.
