Karnataka Govt Sanctions Projects Worth Rs 31,000 Cr
The state government of Karnatka has cleared 25 industrial projects worth Rs 31,000 cr. The Karnataka State High Level Committee (KSHLC) has given its nod to complete the projects within minimum time period.
The steel plant project of Rs 6,150 crore will be completed by Bharat Mines and Minerals Ispat Ltd (BMMIL) in Bellary. Indian Strategic Petroleum Research Project of Rs 1,250 crore will be set up by The Oil Industry Development Board (OIDB) of Union petroleum ministry. It would be set up in 160 acres of land in Mangalore.
The government has also cleared Special Economic Zone (SEZ) proposal near Bangalore by Gulf Oil Corporation. Another SEZ for biotech would be set up by Gopalan Enterprises. The project of Sri Group to establish cement manufacturing unit in the state is also cleared by state.
A special hi-tech hospital would coming near Bangalore by Bangalore-based health major Narayana Hrudhayala. Other real estate and township projects are also cleared by the government in its recent meeting. The government aims to provide employment to 2.5 lakh persons by implementing these projects.
