Movie fans can watch Rajnikanth-starrer ‘Kuselan’ today (Friday, Aug 1) Rajni Says “Sorry”, ‘Kuselan’ To Be Released Todaywithout any dread of protestations.

A film premiere was held in Bangalore on Thursday, soon after ace Kollywood superstar Ranjikanth apologized to his annoyed buffs in Karnataka through the electronic media.

After that apology, a satisfied Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) has backed away objections against the film and has permitted ‘Kuselan’ to be released on Friday.

Protesters had threatened to block his new film in the state over his divisive remarks during the Hogenakkal project row.

In a press release, T A Narayana Gowda of the KRV, stated that the organization would carry on protesting against those making 'derogatory' comments about Karnataka and Kannada.

Shivarame Gowda, president of a KRV faction, told that they have backed out protestations following the regret.

Additional commissioner of police (law and order) M R Pujar said the police would ensure peace is maintained during the release of the movie.

He told reporters jurisdictional ACPs would monitor the situation.

“So far, no one has approached us for protection. Neither distributors nor theatre owners have asked for security. However, we have taken measures to maintain law and order,” he added.
