2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre Coupe to make North American debut on Aug. 18, 2023
The Rolls-Royce Spectre, a full-sized electric luxury car manufactured by British automobile maker Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited, will make its presence felt at the ongoing Monterey Car Week event in California on August 18, 2023. The presence of the Spectre coupe, which is first all-electric model in the long history of Rolls-Royce, at the Monterey Car Week will mark its North American debut.
The Rolls-Royce Spectre coupe is the brand’s first step towards becoming a fully electric automobile manufacturer by the end of current decade (2030). The electric couple is a true luxurious four-seater featuring a rear compartment that has been designed with such a sophistication that it is being described as a luxurious "art lounge" by the brand.
The soon to be unveiled Rolls-Royce Spectre Bespoke will come in a new collection of hues, showcasing a commission in new Morganite hue that has been after the rare gemstone. Images show that it will also feature an Aero two-tone finish of Black over Morganite and 23-inch 7-spoke partial polished wheels. Featuring Scivaro Grey highlights and Obsidian Ayous wood, the Cashmere interior of the coupe gives a real sense of luxury.
On this commission, the massive luxury coupe will also debut of Starlight Doors and illuminated fascia. The illuminated fascia of the EV has 5,500 illuminated point/stars surrounding the nameplate, while the Starlight Doors add nearly 4,800 stars illuminating the vehicle’s interior.
The Spectre coupe runs on a completely redesigned digital interface, called Spirit, which is said to connect the client with the vehicle more closely than ever before. It is the first time when the Spirit interface will allow shoppers to extend their Bespoke commission into the digital dominion. For instance, they will be able to select the colour of instrument dials to match the interior design of their choice.
Based on Rolls-Royce’s patented "Architecture of Luxury," the Spectre luxury coupe is said to deliver the brand’s softest and quietest "magic carpet ride" ever. There are two electric motors, one on each axle, capable of delivering a total of 584 hp and 664 pound-feet of torque. For accelerating from 0 to 60 miles per hour (mph), the vehicle takes just 4.4 seconds.
For power, there is a 102-kWh battery pack that weighs 1,500 pounds (roughly 700 kilograms), which stores enough power to enable the EV to cover a distance of up to 260 miles on a full charge. Prices start at $420,000 in the US.
