Tinbot’s new TB-RS1 Naked e-bike boasts big dimensions & beginner-friendly performance
Focusing on a widely trendy segment of motorcycling, German electric two-wheeler manufacturer Tinbot recently introduced the world to its TB-RS1 Naked Bike – a 125cc-equivalent electric motorbike with fresh sportbike styling.
The RS1 features a rounded faux fuel tank and a wide front-centric silhouette, which gives it the appearance of a contemporary big, sporty naked bike. It comes equipped with a pointed LED headlamp, which makes it resemble the BMW S 1000 R when looked from the front. In proportions, it is quite comparable to high capacity motorbikes. The seat is 850 mm from the ground, and its wheelbase is 1,550 mm.
When it comes to performance, the new motorbike’s powertrain churns out 47.6 horsepower and 63 pound-feet of torque, which is of course, not extraordinary. Nevertheless, it is much better than some other motorbikes. For instance, the RS1’s electric motor is rated for a nominal output of 11.5 hp. Because of this nominal power, the RS1 has a peak speed of merely 75 miles per hour (mph). Thus, it can be ridden by holders of A1 and B licenses.
The aforementioned characteristics show that the Tinbot TB-RS1 Naked Bike is quite big in dimensions, but with beginner-friendly performance. Thus, the new motorbike is expected to be able to attract users of conventional petrol/gas-guzzling two-wheelers.
The 72V120AH lithium-ion battery pack of the TB-RS1 Naked Bike promises a 62-mile range in performance mode, enabling the rider to cruise for extended distances at speeds of up to 60 mph. In eco mode, it claims to deliver a more impressive range of 125 miles. These numbers are obviously quite remarkable, especially given the fact that the new electric bike is 183 kilograms in weight.
The TB-RS1 also has a type-2 connector, a full-color TFT display, and a complete set of LED lights. All these features comes as standard. To bring the motorbike to a halt, there are dual disc brakes in the front, and a single disc brake at the rear. Other notable features of the electric motorbike include FOC Controller, USB charge port and digital dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity.
Tinbot is offering TB-RS1 electric motorbike in four basic colors, viz. black, gray, red and blue. Priced at €10,990 (approximately $10,710), the TB-RS1 is currently exclusively available in Germany, Austria, and Italy. Distribution networks in other European countries are expected to be established sooner than later.
