New Jersey Lake has the ‘Nutcracker’, the Fish that Cracks on Men's Testicles

In the world that houses some people with bizarre tastes, the lake in New Jersey also houses one such inmate, a rare Amazonian fish that seems to relish nothing but the testicles of man!

The perilous fish called ‘the Nutcracker’, was spotted and caught by a father and son duo when they were fishing at a New Jersey lake, without the faintest hint of the jeopardy to their ‘body pieces’. A Philadelphia suburb resident, Ron Rossi and his son Frank were fishing at a man-made body of water. They caught the Nutcracker, mistaking it to be a piranha but it was actually a pacu.

The Nutcracker is more commonly seen in the Amazon and it cannot survive in colder water. The hazardous fish can grow up to four feet long and has human-like molar teeth that can crush food such as nuts that fall into the Amazon River.

This Brazil native has been reported to have victimized testicles of several swimmers and fishermen. This fish has been held responsible for death of two men from blood loss in Papua New Guinea, where it is known as the ‘Ball Cutter’.

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) officials have informed that this South American fish is sometimes kept as a pet and so might have been dumped into the lake by one such owner. The DEP has urged owners of the fish to destroy it rather than throwing it into nearby waters.

However, the scientists in Denmark have refuted the reports of pacu’s victimization of genitalia as hyped.
