Stephen Fry quits Twitter over safety concerns

London, Nov 7 - British comedian Stephen Fry has quit his Twitter account for a month due to safety fears.

The 57-year-old Brit actor's final tweet announced his Twitter retirement until December, because he was currently filming in a place whence he had been advised it was safest not to tweet, the Independent reported.

In 2009, the prolific social media commentator had threatened to leave Twitter for good because he felt there was "too much aggression and unkindness around". (ANI)
