Washington, Dec 29 : Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has responded to the wide scale disparagement of his actions recently by claiming that the only person not to have made any comment on the ongoing referee debate is the American president Barack Obama.

 Ferguson, who recently gave a talk on his management techniques at the Harvard University, has faced criticism recently following a furious vocal exchange with referee Mike Dean and his assistants during United's thrilling 4-3 win over Newcastle on Wednesday, CNN. com reports.

 The whole sage led to Newcastle manager Alan Pardew claiming that Ferguson should have been punished for his protests over Dean''s failure to disallow Jonny Evans own-goal for what he believed to be offside, it added.

 The Scot was fuming that Dean ruled against his assistant, Jake Collin, who had flagged to give Papiss Cisse offside before Evans sidetracked the ball into his own net, the paper said, Ferguson will escape punishment from the English Football Association because the incident was not mentioned in the referee''s report.

 The United manager has defended his conduct, saying that everybody is suddenly keen to have an opinion on the issue barring the man inside the White House.

Ferguson slammed the media for making a meal out of nothing, saying the press guys must have had a great day by slamming the manager of a huge club like United. (ANI)
