EE reveals date, prices, and coverage of its 4G service in UK

EE reveals date, prices, and coverage of its 4G service in UK With the high-speed 4G service from Everything Everywhere (EE) set to hit the UK markets from October 30, the carrier has recently released the details about the 4G pricing and coverage in the country.

According to the details shared by EE, five different 2-year monthly data contract options - for data ranging from between 500MB and 8GB - will be available to the 4G users; with calls and messages on all contracts being unlimited.

The five monthly data contracts to be offered by EE will include: £36 for 500MB data; £41 for 1GB; £46 for 3GB; £46 for 5GB; and £56 for 8GB data. All the contracts will be 2-year contracts, and will be accompanied by a number of upgrade incentives.

All T-Mobile or Orange subscribers who have a 4G-capable handset will be able to switch over to an EE plan, that to without signing a new contract because the months that they have already used will be counted towards their 2-year 4G contract. Meanwhile, T-Mobile or Orange users without a 4G handset will be able to upgrade their handsets to 4G at a cost of $99 onwards.

To begin with, EE's 4G service in the UK will be launched in ten cities - Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Sheffield, and parts of Southampton. However, by Christmas, the service will be expanded to five more cities, including Belfast, Derby, Hull, Newcastle, and Nottingham.
