IIM-A Reveals Salary Packages Offered to Its StudentsFor the first time, IIM- Ahmadabad revealed its placements package in a recently released the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS), assessed by the CRISIL.

Report states that for 2009-2011 batch- maximum salary offered to students of Postgraduate Program in Management (PGPM) is 37 lakhs, while the minimum is 8 lakhs. When IIM-A students are recruited for international firms, their maximum salary was USD 1.36 lakhs and minimum in this category was USD 60,500.

The amount encloses all the perks and performance- based incentives. Director of IIM-A Samir Barua revealed that the given information is of 192 students out of 314, as other recruiters did not agree on disclosing the salary package.

If fee is to be considered then, its Rs 13.7 lakh and they completely justifies the amount being taken. Almost 120 companies take part in placement drive for recruiting students studying in different sections, like banking, finance, human resource, IT, consumer goods and consultation, engineering, real estate business.

Increasingly, foreign companies are recognizing the worth of the institute as this year’s placement drive which was organized in February had numerous international recruiters.

Banking and consultation tops the list, while Boston Consulting Group as well as EXL Services was the major recruiters for 2011 batch.
