BMRCL Investigation Starts
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) doesn’t want to make any lapses that Delhi metro has witnessed and for that Railway Safety Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Singh with his team is on investigation till Friday, where he would be travelling in metros and would check certain things, like superiority of tracks, passenger facilities at station, operating and maintenance systems, and overall transportations of stations.
Recently, he travelled from MG road to Swami Vivekananda road stations, and Byappanahalli station is next in the list. After his first round of investigation, he was of the view that though there are no mistakes in the construction project, there are some portions which could be improved further.
He said that lot of work is left and without that he could not allow Bangalore Metro to go for commercial operation. Mr. Singh affirmed that they need to check signals, and most importantly, they have to insure passengers’ safety as nothing is more important than that.
It is considered that it would take times, as Mr. Singh would only give the safety certificate, after offering BMRCL a report which would state the needed improvements, and how fast BMRCL is able to do them.
