30% of UK drivers eat and drink while driving, study
In a new study, about 30 per cent of the UK drivers have admitted to eating and drinking while driving while 10 per cent said that they text while driving.
About 20 per cent of the respondents admitted to driving while being tired while and 10% to using a phone without a handsfree kit. Research conducted by Ford shows that about 67 per cent of drivers were not sure if they would pass the driving test if they had to take it again.
The survey also looked into which gender is looked as better driving talent. Almost half of the females in the survey believe themselves to be safer than male driers. @0 per cent of the males agree with this belief.
Adrian Walsh, of motoring safety partnership RoadSafe, said: “There is a need for people to learn again how to drive. Advanced driving lessons are an extremely good idea."
