Four South Korean employees of Hyundai were detained by anti-Posco activists A group of four people were detained by Anti-Posco activists at Dhinkia village of jagatsinghpur district. The people are South Korean employees of Hyundai working with the Indian Oil Corporation refinery at paradip. They were held in custody predicting that they were Posco employees.

Villagers have spotted four Hyundai employees straying into Posco’s proposed steel plant site in Dhinkia on Sunday, said by officials in Jagatsinghpur.

An official also said that since their refinery is located at Abhaychandpur near the Posco site so it is possible that they casually walked into the restricted area and hence soon anti-Posco have realized their mistake and all the employees were set free on Sunday evening.

On the other hand, the president of Posco Pratirodh Sangram Samiti (PPSS) Abhay Sahu along with the villagers is opposing the project and dug the road leading to the proposed captive port site of Posco at Jatadhar river mouth.

Earlier also Anti-Posco activists had captured many Posco executives. Last year in January, anti-Posco activists have detained four Posco officials who had gone to the village for distributing New York Calendar.
