Already trailing as far the funding is concerned, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has recently said that many of its project are currently not moving any further because of the fact that it does not have adequate funds.

It is to be mentioned here that the civic agency gets an allocated amount of money from the Delhi Government every year which is directed towards the various infrastructure projects, education, and maintenance.

Mahender Nagpal, chairman of education committee of the MCD said that many of the students are at times forced to study in the makeshift tents as there are number of buildings that are in a bad condition. However, the department is also helpless to an extent as it can't really do much about it without the funds.

In fact, the delay in the host of road project is also the result of the shortage of money with the affect and there are many colony roads that are in a major need for repair but the issues are being delayed for long. Moreover, the incessant rains also added salt to the wounds of MCD as the roads took a major beating from the same.
