The NPO Senapati in Imphal stated May as a month of sadness and acknowledged that there will be no celebrations in the month of May on account of two students killed at Mao gate on May 6.

An NPO press release declared this mourning will continue till May 31 starting from May 6.

The NPO also confirmed that common man of Senapati district will be declined from doing normal manual works by considering these days as days of Gena.

All churches and religious institutions of the district shall pray and fast for late Chakho and Loshuo.

He also requested people not to indulge in any kind of entertainment programmes, merry-makings and celebrations.

Besides this, all shops and business establishments will remain open for few restricted hours and shall be opened at half shutter.
