Mangalam Cement awards orders to Thermax & TDPS
Mangalam Cement, a part of the BK Birla group, has revealed that it has awarded two orders to Thermax and Toyo Denki Power Systems (TDPS).
According to sources, the orders have been placed for captive thermal power plant of 17.5 MW capacity.
The sources further indicated that order for boiler has been awarded to Thermax and order for turbine generator has been finalized in favor of Toyo Denki Power Systems (TDPS).
In a separate release, the company has informed that the plant is expected to be started within a period of 18 months.
The company did not reveal details regarding amount of the order.
Mangalam Cement has diverse businesses in varied industries like textiles, cement, rayon, tyres, chemicals, ply boards, plantations, education, horticulture, shipping, air-taxi, electricals, refractories and spun pipes.
Other group companies enatil Kesoram Industries, Century Textiles and Industries, Century Enka, Manjushree Plantations and Jayashree Tea & Industries.
Shares of Mangalam Cement gained Rs 0.35, or 0.25%, to trade at Rs 138.90. The total volume of shares traded was 18,281 at the BSE (12.27 p.m., Friday).
