The students of Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj (Delhi) had a wonderful experience at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC) of the US space agency NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), at Houston, Texas. The students had a first hand experience at the NASA’s center for human spaceflight activities.
The group of 21 keen students had a chance to learn a great deal about Rocket Science, Presentation - Training of Astronauts, Project Work, Rocket Building & Launching, Designing of Mars Rover, and Building of International Space Station.
The students also got opportunity to interact with space scientists and NASA experts like the Space Suit Designer – Ms. Heather Paul, Chief Engineer for Design Groups – Mr. Satish Reddy, and chief space scientist – Kamlesh Lulla. These scientists shared their views and knowledge with the visitants.
Furthermore, the students also got a chance to visit the NASA’s space vehicle launch facility and Launch Control Center (spaceport) – the John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC), located on Merritt Island, Brevard County, Florida. It was dream come true of the students, who had a chance to witness launch preparations for the Space Shuttle Atlantis, which was ready on the launch pad at that time.
The Chairman Ryan Group of Institutions Dr. Augustine Pinto & Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto, who has the vision to take learning beyond the confines of classroom, were elated with their student’s experience at the NASA’s space centers.
