Jacko won’t attend Jade Goody’s funeral
London, March 31: Michael Jackson will not join mourners at Jade Goody’s funeral on April 4.
The late reality star’s spokesman, Max Clifford, has said that Jackson, who had made several calls and left messages of support while Jade battled her disease, was never expected to be at the ceremony.
He was reacting to the rumours that the singer would be present at the service to bid final goodbye to the 27-year-old, who lost her battle to cervical cancer on March 22 – Mother’s Day.
"Michael was never, ever coming, it was never on the agenda. He also feels the focus of the funeral should be about her and her family," Sky News quoted Max as saying.
"But he has sent a lovely message of condolence to her family, that she was a brave girl and that her message will save a lot of lives, and he will be sending flowers," he added.
However, celebrities expected to attend the funeral at St John The Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, include Sugababes and Kerry Katona. (ANI)
