When Mel Gibson begged fire fighters to save his Oscars
London, Feb 24 : American actor Mel Gibson has revealed that when his house in California was threatened by a wildfire, he begged the fire fighters to save his Oscars.
Gibson, 53, lives in Malibu, an area that is mostly dry and frequently prone to wildfires.
And he revealed how when one particular fire came close to his sprawling estate, his first concern was for the statuettes he had won for `Braveheart'.
"When the house was threatened by fire in the canyon, I told the firemen, `Don''t let the boys burn'," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
"They thought I meant my kids," he added. (ANI)
