CBI’s report on Mulayam has 288 mistakes: Amar Singh
New Delhi, Feb. 10,: Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh on Tuesday attacked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for its report into the disproportionate assets case against former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, and said it contained 288 mistakes.
Singh also demanded a judicial inquiry to find out how these mistakes had occurred in the third status report of CBI.
"The CBI''s status report to the Supreme Court in the case has 288 mistakes. Not one, two or three, it has 288 mistakes," Singh said.
"The value of a car worth Rs. 7,50,000 increased to Rs. 15,00,000," he added.
He also said the investigation agency was working at the behest of the Central Government.
Singh also asked the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress chairperson Sonia Gandhi to send Mulayam Singh to jail if he is guilty.
A former Congress worker and lawyer Vishwantath Chaturvedi filed Public interest litigation in 2005 against Mulayam Singh Yadav, his two sons and daughter-in-law.
Earlier, the Supreme Court severely criticized the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for acting on the behest of the Central Government in the case. (ANI)
