CII launches India’s first Robo Expo and Robo Conference on the automotive sector
New Delhi, Jan. 7: India is fast emerging as a manufacturing hub with the automotive sector making remarkable contribution in last few years.
The Indian automobile sector continues to grow in top gear and at present, USD 14 billion investments are underway in Auto sector in India. Robotics suggests a whole new world of automation with Robots taking on challenges in safety, productivity and quality. Robotics and automation are the need of this sector. Cutting Edge technologies in Robotics will contribute to lead Indian Industry into the domain of innovation, setting them ahead in the race for safety, quality and efficiency.
To cater to this need of the automotive sector, CII – Innovation Mission is organising the first Robo Expo 2008 concurrent with the 9th Auto Expo 2008 from 10th – 17th January 2008. The first Robo Conference is also being organised on 14th – 15th January 2008 to tie in with the Robo Expo.
The event will provide a platform for the Indian Manufacturing Industry to update themselves on the latest technologies in the Robotics and automation. Robo Expo 2008 aims at promoting Innovation for products & processes to showcase the best and latest technologies for robotics and automation in automotive sector.
Live demonstrations of the latest and the best technologies in robotics and automation, new robot launches and display of robotic solutions, artificial intelligence, vision systems, robotic automation, vehicle assembly automation, special purpose automation, low cost automation etc will bring to the fore the possibilities available through the use of robotics and automation.
The event will also facilitate the introduction of Robotics, low cost automation and lasers, which would lead to a safe work environment that delivers high quality and consistency. Robo Expo is aimed at benefiting the Manufacturing Industry in the ASEAN region.
Henceforth it will be institutionalized as a stand-alone show. In addition, we plan to do specialized shows such as for Defence, Manufacturing and other sectors.
Robo Expo 2008 will showcase world leaders of Robotics and Automation like Kuka, ABB Ltd, Precision Automation and Robotics India Ltd (PARI), Motoman Motherson Robotics Ltd, Hi-Tech Robotics Systemz, Fanuc, and Rockwell etc. through its exhibition and concurrent conference. The exhibition will also give an opportunity to see unique robots and new robot launches for the first time in India. (ANI)
