Pak investigators examine Benazir’s e-mail to friend

Islamabad, Jan 2: Investigators in Pakistan have thoroughly discussed the Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhuttocontents of an e-mail which Benazir Bhutto wrote to close American friend Mark Siegel, and have decided to include it as apart of their probe.

Benazir wrote to Siegel two months ago, saying that if she was harmed in Pakistan she would ''hold Musharraf responsible as she felt insecure by Musharraf’s minions, that specific improvements had not been made to her security arrangements.”

“The investigators had also planned to go through another e-mail by Benazir in which she had written to Musharraf before the October 18, 2007 attack, naming prominent Government officials who could be held responsible if anything happened to her,” the sources added.

The investigation team headed by Additional Inspector General of Police Abdul Majeed, said investigators had studied Benazir’s e-mail to Siegel and would examine everything that could help them in finding a clue to the culprits. (ANI)
