Indian national arrested in Pakistan
India is pressuring Islamabad to take strict action against the people behind Mumbai 26/11. Recent arrest of an Indian national on Wednesday by Pakistan’s intelligence agencies has added a new twist in Indo-Pak relations.
Law-enforcement agencies have arrested Satish Anand Shukla in connection with Wednesday’s bomb blast in the Bahawalpur House here. Four persons were injured and a woman was killed when a car bomb went off at 9.20 am within the Government Officers Residences complex. Officials claim that he is an Indian spy.
According to sources, Shukla had served in the Indian High Commission in the UK for three years.
However Senior Superintendent of Police (operations) Chaudhry Shafiq Ahmed said that he had no information about the arrested person, adding that he might have been arrested by some other law-enforcement agency.
