Washington, Dec 19 : American country music singer Mindy McCready's brother has revealed that she is "doing great", and recovering from her apparent suicide attempt.

McCready, 33, ended up being hospitalised at a Nashville hospital on December 17 after she was found by her other brother Timothy lying on the bed in a pool of blood.

According to the brother, McCready appeared intoxicated when he checked on her, after she made a bizarre call to her mother earlier in the evening after a night out.

The singer had cut her wrists and took several pills in an alleged suicide attempt as per the police reports, and she was later treated at Centennial Medical Centre, hospital officials confirmed.

Her 28-year-old brother, Josh, revealed that his sister "is recovering just fine."

"Mindy''s doing great. She''s fine. She was hospitalised, but she''s fine. She''s good now," People magazine quoted him as having added. (ANI)
