New PC game shows London swamped by flood
London, Aug 6 : Computer gaming experts have launched a new online game which shows how London could look if hit by a major flood.
The game shows how would big British cities, like Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool — plus the 2012 Olympic village look drowned in flood.
Government-backed Floodsim lets players become “flood tsars” whose success is gauged by the impact on people and the economy.
Environment Minister Phil Woolas hopes that the new online game would help people identify with the disaster situation.
“It enables them to have a greater understanding of flooding,” The Sun quoted him as saying. (ANI)
