New Bentley FlexFuel super sports car

New Bentley FlexFuel super sports carCrewe, England  - Bentley has revealed its Continental Supersports, describing it as the fastest Bentley ever built with 630 hp engine that propels it from zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, prior to the Geneva Motor Show.

According to Bentley, the concept began with an experiment to reduce weight by 110 kilogrammes and increase power for the Continental GT Speed using lightweight materials. In addition, the challenge was to use FlexFuel technology, using a mixture of petrol and ethanol, without compromising supercar performance.

Extra air vents were added to improve airflow to the six-litre, twin turbo W12 engine. The vertical air intakes also give the car a more aggressive look. Quickshift 6-speed transmission cuts shift times by half.

Despite its sporting character, it retains luxury credentials such as premium grade leather for the interior blending with carbon fibre and Alcantara. (dpa)
