Neeraj murder case- charges against Maria and Mathew will be filed on January 13
The prosecution will file the charges against two accused of Neeraj Grover murder case, Maria Susairaj and her fiancé Emile Jerome Mathew on January 13 in the session court. 25-year-old Neeraj Grover was a creative head of TV production house Synergy Adlabs, and was killed by both accused Maria Susairaj and Mathew on May 7,
2008.
On Tuesday, the prosecution informed the session's court that they will submit a list of documents by January 13, against the accused that will be relied upon by them. Additional Public Prosecutor R V Kini said: "The court will frame charges against the two accused on January 13."
A chargesheet has been filed against the two accused and framing of the charges is the first step in the trial. An application was filed by Maria on Tuesday in which she is requesting for home-made food claiming that she is suffering from indigestion. A doctor from state-run J J Hospital will file a detailed report on her health status. And decision would be taken on January 13.
The police have charged both accused under Section 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for conspiring to kill Grover, under Section 302 for murder, section 34 of IPC for common intention and section 201 for destroying evidence.
Maria has given a confessional statement to a magistrate, in which she has claimed that Jerome killed Grover and she had tried to stop him.
