‘My Name Is Khan’ earns Rs 90.2 Crore in the first three days
The movie 'My Name is Khan' which features Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol earned worldwide revenues of Rs 90.2 crore in the first three days of its release, according to the data released by film distributor Fox Star India.
The movie is on track to chase Aamir Khan starer 3 Idiots which has broken many Box Office records. 3 Idiots collected revenues of Rs 90 crores in the first three days of its release.
"Despite issues in certain centres on Friday, the movie has done exceptionally well," said Fox Star India CEO Vijay Singh in an official statement. He also said that the movie has become the most successful Bollywood movie on the basis of international single day collections.
The movie earned Rs. 48 crore in the country and its international collections were Rs. 42.2 crore. Rs. 20 crore came from the US and Rs. 7.05 crore from Australia.
The movie emerged as the top five in many countries competing with the likes of Avatar, Valentine's Day and The Wolfman. Star Fox Studio had released about 2,000 prints worldwide.
In India the movie got a good response from across different states including Delhi, UP, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerela along with protest hit Maharashtra.
