The Muslim Teacher, caught in Facebook row, ‘taken out’ of classroomAccording to confirmed official reports, a Muslim teacher in North Carolina embroiled in a controversy about comments on her Facebook page has been reassigned to an office job.

The (Raleigh, N. C.) News & Observer reported that Melissa Hussain, who was suspended with pay for several weeks, is now coordinating middle school science teaching in the Wake County school district.

It was also reported that she is making the same salary she did as a science teacher at West Lake Middle School near Apex.

The controversy began when eighth-grade students left a Bible on Hussain's desk. On her Facebook page, she called the action a "hate crime" and said it would not be "unpunished" and she had shamed her students.

It was further reported by the newspaper that Hussain responded that would leave her "without a job." But she added, "I like it. (With Inputs from Agencies)
