Music Director Harris Jayaraj Splits With Gautham Menon
It came as a great shock and surprise to many South Indian music buffs to hear the split between music director Harris Jayaraj and director Gautham Vasudev Menon.
In a press release, the ace music director Harris said that he is parting ways with Gautham.
The press release of Harris said, “I have a very good respect for Mr. Gowtham Menon and in return he has reciprocated the same. But now, things have gone sour that it's better for us to part ways as good friends leaving behind some beautiful memories with a heavy heart. I have to take this decision on behalf of us. I know this might disappoint my fans, music lovers and well wishers in the industry. It's best for us to leave it at this, since I always believed that to create soul stirring music, the bond between a Music composer and the director is vital. Once it's lost, it is difficult to get back.”
The duo of Harris and Gautham has always done wonders on the screen. Right from ‘Minnale’ to the latest ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, both have given huge hits to their music lovers.
Apart from these two movies, the duo has worked each other in big films like Kakka Kakka, Vettayadu Vilayadu and Pachaikili Muthucharam.
Born in a devoted Christian family in 1975, Harris has obtained a degree in music from London's Trinity College. Since 2001 the ace music director from South has composed music for over 25 films in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
