Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, during the departure of Team India for a tri-series involving Sri Lanka and two Tests in Bangladesh, said that India earnestly needs a bowling and a fielding coach for improving the skills of players besides reducing pressure on Gary Kirsten.

Dhoni told reporters, "You need specialist coaches to get the best out of players. Gary looks after so many things. He has all those team meetings, talking to batsmen, bowlers and then working out strategies."

Dhoni said that Indian bowlers have problems in some area which can be overcome by consulting a specialist coach. He hailed the performance of team during 2009 and added that Team India performed well in 2009 but there were ups and downs.

About 2010, Dhoni said that that he is optimistic for the India to perform even better in IPL and T20. However, he cautioned against fielding front and asked for the need of more improvement in fielding standards.
