Mozambique: 32 people killed by wildfires and storms

Maputo  - At least 32 people have been killed by wildfires and storms in three provinces in central Mozambique this week, officials said Friday.

Hundreds were injured Sofala, Manica and Zamabezia provinces, Sofala Province Governor Alberto Vaquina said.

In the worst affected province of Sofala, at least 2,000 people were made homeless when 720 houses were destroyed, he said. (dpa)
