The movie is set in a contemporary Indian village with versatile actor Shreyas Talpade in the lead role and charming Amrita Rao as the leading lady. 

The film directed by Shyam Benegal and produced by Ronnie Screwala is a romantic comedy.

The Hero Mahadev is by far the only graduate in the village and makes a living by reading and writing letters for those who are illiterate which comprises of the entire village. 

The hero Mahadev however wants to be a novelist and then how he goes about fulfilling his dreams, meets his lost lady love and at the same time the movie promises complete entertainment with other talented actors like Divya Dutta, Ila Arun, Yashpal Sharma to name a few.
