Monorail near Arthur jail road gets a nodThe ongoing advancements in the Monorail project in Mumbai has resumed work near Arthur Road jail. It is the place where the 26/11 attack terrorist Ajmal Kasab has been imprisoned that resulted in hindering of activities and received a green signal today from Maharashtra Home Minister, R R Patil.

A representative of the Home Department stated that the home minister has claimed of taking all the necessary measures that will be required whilst constructing the monorail structure near Arthur Road. It is supposedly to be thoroughly considered decision that was taken up at a meeting in presence of jail and MMRDA officials, chaired by Patil.

The initial phase of monorail commences from Jacob Circle near Mahalaxmi station and will pass through Arthur Road jail towards Wadala. Howler the Home Minister insisted of using metal sheets near the jail compound to hide the inner view of the monorail that would run on elevated tracks. The workforce out there working in the site of construction will be given special I-cards as a part of the security measures, the official said.
