Michelle Obama’s inaugural gown designer didn’t expect selection
New York, January 24: U. S. First Lady Michelle Obama's inaugural gown designer Jason Wu, 26, has revealed that he was just not sure whether his design would be selected for the historic occasion.
He said that he had never met Michelle, and thus had no idea as to what the First Lady would were on Tuesday night.
He added that he did not even know that the design he had submitted to Michelle last November was being seriously considered.
Wu said that he was initially not positive that the white chiffon dress worn by Michelle during her husband's inauguration was his, and that he realised it only after the phone began ringing.
"I was over the moon. I know I am an unusual choice for a first lady. I didn't think it was my turn yet," the New York Times quoted him as saying. (ANI)
