MGM uncertainty delays 23rd Bond movie

23rd-Bond-MovieWith the uncertainty looming large over MGM, it seems as if the movie lovers would have to wait longer for the next Bond flick.

As per the producers, the production of the 23rd Bond movie has been suspended "indefinitely" due to the uncertainties over the film company MGM's future. Film's producer Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said that they don't know when the work on next Bond movie would start.

Both the producers said, "due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on Bond 23 indefinitely."

However, Daniel Craig the sixth bond showed full confidence in the producers and said that he is looking forward to production resuming as quickly as possible.

Prior to Craig, Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan have played the character of the British secret agent.

While Craig's debut movie Casino Royale was the most successful in the 48 year long history of the Bond franchises, his second movie Quantum of Solace did not work well at the global box office.

However, Bond series always has been a very reliable performer.
