Medvedev's first visit to Europe will be to Germany - Russian media
Moscow - Russia's Dmitry Medvedev said Wednesday that his first visit to Europe as president will be to Germany in June, news agencies said.
Medvedev was meeting with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in the Urals city of Yekaterinenburg on Wednesday.
"In view of our privileged relations my first visit to a European country will be to Germany, where we shall be able to further discuss with Chancellor Angela Merkel and you all key issues on our agenda," Medvedev reportedly told Steinmeier.
Medvedev, who was inaugurated Thursday, will make his first foreign policy trip to Kazakhstan and China in late May. (dpa)
