Maytas Properties launches its first IT/ITes SEZ in Hyderabad
Maytas Properties Limited, one of leading infrastructure development company has launched its first IT/ITeS special economic zone (SEZ) at its flagship 376-acre integrated township christened ‘Maytas Hill County’ on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The SEZ, spread over 74 acres will have a total built-up area of 8 million square feet, which would be developed in 4-5 phases. The SEZ, has been designed by New York-based architects Skidmore Owings & Merrill (SOM), who designed the Sears Towers, Chicago.
The developer has already signed up with Wells Fargo India Solutions, a subsidiary of the US giant, as the first client for the SEZ.
The company plans to pump Rs 2,500 crore in the SEZ project in the next 8 to 10 years of duration, with a debt-equity ratio of 70:30. The first phase, with an area of 1.3 million sq ft expected to be completed by October-December, 2009.
Hyderabad-based firm, which is backed by the promoters of Satyam Computers, has two other SEZ projects lined up in Hyderabad. The projects would come up at Mysammaguda and Gopanpally and would be spread over 35 acres and 39 acres respectively, with a total built-up area of 9 million sq. ft.
