Massa hoping to return home following Hungary crash

Massa hoping to return home following Hungary crash Budapest - Felipe Massa continues to recover from his crash during
qualifying last weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix and hopes to leave
Budapest's AEK military hospital for home in the near future.

"I
want to go home. I feel really good," Massa was quoted as saying by his
personal physician Dino Altmann, who told reporters in the Hungarian
capital on Thursday that he was sure the injured Ferrari driver will
one day be back behind the wheel.

"He looks like a boxer, but he is eating regularly, walking and taking showers," he said.

Massa
was even able to joke when he learnt that Ferrari was considering
substituting him with seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher,
Altmann revealed.

He will continue to receive treatment in
Hungary for the time being, and will probably return home directly from
Budapest, Altmann said, as quoted by the local news agency MTI.

It is possible that Massa will be able to leave hospital on Sunday and return to his home in Monte Carlo.

The clinic's doctors will decide on Saturday when Felipe can leave," Altmann explained.

Massa's
wife Anna Rafaela, who is five months pregnant, his parents and brother
Eduardo remain in Budapest with the Ferrari driver.

However
Schumacher, who looks set to replace Massa for the European GP in
Valencia on August 23, won't be traveling to Hungary to visit the
Brazilian.

"Michael is constantly asking about how Felipe is
doing. Massa's condition is a concern for him," said the seven-time
world champion's spokeswoman Sabine Kehm.

Massa sustained
multiple skull fractures and concussion in a freak accident on Saturday
when a spring from fellow Brazilian Rubens Barrichello's Brawn GP car
broke loose and struck him on the helmet during a qualifying session at
the Hungaroring. (dpa)
