Maruti Registers Production Increase by 4 Percent after Nine Months of Decline

Maruti Suzuki India registered 4.3 percent increase in production during November, compared to the same month in year 2018. After 9 months of reduction in production due to lower demand for vehicles, Maruti has finally come up with positive news. Maruti Suzuki India is leader in the local automobile market and production level increased at Maruti will help boost sentiment about automobile sector.

Maruti produced total 1.41 lakh units in November 2019 compared to 1.35 lakh units in November 2018. Majority of gains have been registered in passenger vehicles segment.

The best production level increase was witnessed in Vitara Brezza, Ertiga and S-Cross during November. However, it will be too early to comment if the worst is over for Indian automobile sector. Maruti has reduced its production over last few months and this could have led to reduced inventory levels at dealerships. If the company reports strong production during December, it could be an indication of improvement in automobile sector.
