Man sue casino for loaning him $75,000 while he was drunkCourt records have showed that a Kentucky businessman has filed a lawsuit against an Indiana casino for loaning him $75,000 -- which he lost -- while he was drunk.

The Louisville Courier-Journal reported on Wednesday that Jimmy L. Vance, of Corbin, said he does not recall most of what occurred on a night in September 2004 and that Caesars Casino, now Horseshoe Southern Indiana, in Paoli, violated state law by taking advantage of his inebriated condition and giving him money on credit.

The newspaper further said that Caesars sued Vance in 2005 for failure to repay the loan, and Vance filed a countersuit, saying he was induced to gamble while he was drunk.

If the casino wins the case, Indiana law allows an award of triple damages, as well as interest, court costs and lawyer's fees.

Larry Wilder, Vance's lawyer, said that a key issue in this case is whether Indiana law allows a casino to enter into a legal contract with a patron who is drunk.

Wilder said," He had at least seven drinks in 160 minutes. He remembers borrowing the first $20,000, but not the last $55,000." (With Input From Agencies)
