Man booked for posting video of young boy driving Ferrari
Police officials in the southern Indian state of Kerala have booked a NRI businessman Mohammed Nisham after he posted a video on video sharing site, Youtube showing his nine-year-old son driving a Ferrari F430 Scuderia earlier in April.
The Kerala police have registered a case against the businessman for allowing his under aged son to take to the Kerala roads with the super sports car. The video with the young boy driving the car with his younger brother in tow has gone viral on the internet and had caused widespread criticism of the father for allowing the young child to drive on the road.
Nisham has been booked under the Juvenile Justice Act and Motor Vehicles Act. The Peramangalam police first ask the businessman to provide an explanation and then booked him for `encouraging underage driving' and `allowing an unlicensed child to drive'.
Peramangalam Circle Inspector Biju Kumar as saying, "We have collected statements from the boy and other family members. But, the police couldn't take custody of Mohammed Nisham as he is an NRI. After completing routine formalities, we would refer the case to the court for further proceedings."
The family appears to be adamant on their position and were not apologetic for the incidence. They even claimed that the boy has good driving skills and have driven several other family owned cars including Lamborghini and Bentley.
