Mallya may enter education sectorAfter entering into sectors like Liquor, Aviation and sports, liquor baron Vijay Mallya may soon be trying his luck in the education sector. Mallya, who has taken the group to new highs during his leadership and has diversified its interests into various sectors other than liquor, has now expressed his intentions of making an entry into the Indian education sector.

The conglomerate plans to provide higher education in the country.

In fact, Mallya has shown interest in the IMT's third campus which is planned in Hyderabad. IMT currently has two centres i. e. in Ghaziabad and Nagpur. Notably, after entering the aviation segment, Mallya's foray into the sports market via Force India and Royal Challengers Bangalore has been fruitful for the Group so far.

IMT's promoter Kamal Nath is currently the president at the institute and Mallya has expressed his interest of entering the sector in partnership with the management institute.

Mallya had shown his interest at a ceremony where he was present to distribute the degrees among the students. The Hyderabad campus will start operations from 2011 and will accommodate 360-400 students.
