L&T bags six orders worth Rs 1,230 croreLarsen & Toubro (L&T), a leading engineering major has informed that it has won six orders from different vendors worth Rs 1,230 crore.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company stated that the orders will be carried out by Electrical & Gulf Projects Operating Company, a part of its Construction arm.

Out of the six orders, the four orders worth Rs 1,031 crore are awarded for transmission line & railway construction, and two orders valued at Rs 199 crore are for the construction of sub-stations.    

The sources close to the company said that the four orders entails Rs 496-crore order from Mahatransco and Rs 246-crore order from Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board for the construction of transmission line, The project will be completed in two years.

Whereas, Rs 103-crore order has been bagged from Power Grid Corporation of India for construction of transmission line, which is slated to be finlalized in 25 months and Rs 186-crore order from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd for the construction of railway line, to be completed in two years.    

In addition to the above orders, the company also secured two more orders valued at Rs 199 crore for sub-station construction.

Out of the two orders, the company has won Rs 71-crore order from Maharastra State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd and a Rs 128-crore order from Maharastra State Electricity Distribution Ltd for construction of sub-stations.
