Lone protestor tries to disrupt PM’s speech at conferenceA lone protester, who suddenly took out his short and shouted slogans against the Prime Minister at a conference in New Delhi, was been arrested by the police.

The man tried to disrupt the proceedings as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appeared to deliver his address at the "Conference on Economic Growth in Asia and Changes of Corporate Environment" in the national capital.

Dr. Singh waiter for a while the security personnel took the protestor away and continues to deliver his speech at the conference organized by Indian Law Institute at the plenary hall of Vigyan Bhawan. Chief Justice of India S H Kapadia, Law Minister Salman Khurshid as well as disguised personalities from across Asia were present at the conference.

Dr. Singh again asserted the need for reforms for ensuring the country's economic development following a similar assortment a day earlier in his speech to the nation. He pointed out that India needs to create a business environment that attracts investment and appreciates innovation.

"Government needs to ensure regulation of stock exchanges is at par with expectations of global investors and that the banking and financial sector is exemplary of efficiency and stability," he added.
